Welcome back! We will start the second part of our home tour upstairs, in Smokey’s Bar. I’ll offer you a Twisted Martini as we tour the rest of the house.
I found a package of ornaments on sale after last Christmas. The colors of the ornaments matched the carpet in the theater section of the bar. How perfect! So, I bought a tree to match the ornaments. That’s normal, right? In anticipation of a future tree, Ashton and I had been collecting cocktail-related ornaments. I was so excited to finally put the tree together. I love the non-traditional colors!
The bathroom upstairs also gets a touch of Christmas. Really, I just stuck a fantastic poinsettia into the regular greenery. I can’t have any real poinsettas, or other plants for that matter. Smokey would eat them.
Carefully carry your martini downstairs as we tour the kitchen.
I use extra ornaments as inexpensive decorations throughout the house. So far, Smokey has been too distracted by the tree to notice.
“And the stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.”
I couldn’t resist this picture of Smokey. He always yawns when I’m taking his picture. I’m very sure that he was bored by the whole picture taking process throughout the house.
Thank you for stopping by and spending a little time with us during this wonderful time of the year.
Merry Christmas from our house to yours!
